Opera Garnier
Description
The Opéra Garnier, also known as the Palais Garnier, is one of Paris' most iconic monuments and a true gem of 19th-century architecture. Opened in 1875 and designed by architect Charles Garnier for Napoleon III's imperial Paris, this majestic building combines elegance, theatricality, and an extraordinary attention to detail, making it a must-see for art and history lovers.
We will be dazzled by the imposing main marble staircase, the luxurious Grand Foyer, and the spectacular performance hall, crowned by Marc Chagall's famous fresco.
But the most fascinating thing is not only what we will see, but what we will discover on this guided tour of its interior: stories of emperors, underground mysteries, anecdotes of great artists... and yes, even the real inspiration for the legendary “Phantom of the Opera.”
Today, the Palais Garnier hosts ballets, concerts, and exhibitions, allowing travelers from all over the world to immerse themselves in one of the most fascinating settings of Parisian cultural life. A place where every corner tells stories and where architectural beauty reaches its maximum expression.
