Description
On this visit we will explore one of the oldest and most cosmopolitan neighborhoods in Paris and Europe: Le Marais, home to the largest Jewish community on the continent and the LGBTQ+ neighborhood of the French capital.
Its imposing mansions and old streets, so full of life today, witnessed one of the most tragic chapters in human history. We will pay particular attention to how World War II and the Holocaust were experienced in Paris, as well as the enduring importance of the French Resistance.
We will explore crucial historical moments in an immersive environment that will take us to the liberation of Paris, the Battle of France, and allow us to analyze important figures such as Adolf Hitler and Charles de Gaulle.

We'll begin our tour at the Cité metro station exit, in Place Louis Lépine, next to the flower market. Among other places, we'll visit Place des Vosges, the Shoah Memorial, the Philippe Auguste Wall, the Saint Louis Bridge, the Deportation Memorial...

Meeting Point
The tour begins a few meters from the Cité metro exit (Metro 4), you will find your guide carrying a white, blue and red umbrella.
It is recommended to arrive 10 minutes early at the meeting point in order to start our visit at the scheduled time.
