2 hr 30 min
From 250 euros
Place Saint Michel

Service Description

Have you ever felt like you were missing part of the story on a tour of Paris? Welcome to the other side! The Women of Paris tour through the Latin Quarter has a dual purpose. Obviously, we'll visit the most iconic places in this area, such as the Pantheon, the Sorbonne University, Shakespeare and Company, and the Luxembourg Gardens; but above all, we'll tell you the story you haven't yet heard. We'll talk about Joan of Arc, the teenager who changed the course of the Hundred Years' War and the destiny of France. We'll also discuss the seven women who were pioneers in occupying that space called the Pantheon, including great figures like Marie Curie and Simone Veil. We'll talk about the crucial role of Marie Antoinette, and that of Olympe de Gouges, who wrote the Declaration of the Rights of Woman and the Female Citizen and launched the first wave of feminism. To know where we're going, it's important to know and understand where we've come from. Darcia Mariani, an Italian writer, stated that: "When women die, they die forever, condemned to the double fate of the flesh and oblivion." We can do nothing about the flesh, but about oblivion... we still have a long way to go. PRICE PER GROUP: €250 per group of up to 5 people €300 per group of 6 to 10 people €400 per group of 11 to 30 people *To book your tour, fill out the form at the bottom of the page and tell us the date and time you would like to take the tour and how many people are in your group.
